The Buellton City Council will get a look next week at plans to redesign the Avenue of Flags center median.
City planners presented their concept and preliminary plans to the Buellton Planning Commission at a meeting this week.
The median would be designed to provide parking and a flexible multi-use event space. It would also have landscaping, removable shade canopies, and attractive paved areas.
The commission suggested adding a bicycle lane and motorcycle parking.
The draft is about 35 percent done, so there is still some work to do.
The city council will review the plans next Thursday, March 28.
