Break from showers develops but won’t last long

After an interesting start this morning with expected showers and even thunderstorms.

The break in the wet weather is developing: it just won’t last very long.

We’ll see any remaining activity wane this evening and remain quiet into late Friday night when another cold front moves across the area. It’ll bring us more showers but totals should stay under .25″ and the rest of the weekend looks dry.

Monday there is another front but it looks to stall out in Monterey county. It could sneak into northern SLO county for more showers but most will miss out on this chance of rain. The next system, is Tuesday night into Wednesday, but it appears to be more of glancing blow from this low pressure center as well.

The pattern looks open but models backed off a wet beginning to April today. We will monitor to see if new runs return to a wet outlook.
