Locals will have a chance to meet a real-life “American Ninja Warrior” this weekend at the Inspired Health and Fitness Expo in San Luis Obispo.

The expo features two full days of activities, events, wellness exhibitions, and competitions at the Alex Madonna Expo Center.

It kicks off Saturday with a Superhero 5k Fun Run to benefit Project Teen Health.

Plus, Grant McCartney, the so-called “Island Ninja” and San Luis Obispo local, will be there to greet participants.

“We’re not only promoting youth to be healthy and be active with a 5k and a fun ninja course they can run, but it’s a whole local business coming together on food, diet, medical. I mean, all the areas that come together to promote health,” McCartney said.

The Central Coast Gymnastics Ninja Agility Challenge will also be held throughout the weekend.

The expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. Click here for more information.
