A San Luis Obispo Police officer was reportedly knocked unconscious during a struggle with two suspects on St. Patrick’s Day.

Police say it all started when three men from San Luis Obispo got into a verbal argument with employees at a bar in the 700 block of Higuera St. After one of the men was arrested for being drunk in public, police say the other two men began fighting with officers at the scene.

One of the officers was reportedly knocked unconscious as they struggled to place the suspects in handcuffs. Police say he was treated at the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

David Delgado Jasso, 21, was arrested on suspicion of assault on a police officer and being drunk in public. Jesus Jasso, 28, was arrested on suspicion of resisting a police officer, violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance, and being drunk in public.
