The Monte Road on-ramp going northbound on Highway 101 was briefly closed Sunday because a trailer flipped over just before entering the road.
The incident happened around 9 a.m.
Amy and Nathan Elliot said they were on their way home to Bakersfield following a weekend camping trip at Avila Beach when the trailer brakes locked up, causing the trailer to roll over.
They were traveling with their four kids. They said their kids are safe and the truck is fine.
The Monte Road on-ramp going northbound on Highway 101 was closed for about 30 minutes according to the California Highway Patrol incident information page, as crews worked to clear the road.
