The Los Padres National Forest alongside Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District are doing pile burns at Figueroa Mountain next week.
They are treating about five to 10 acres of dead trees and brush between March 18 and March 22.
Burning operations will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
The goal of the series of one-day pile burns is to reduce the risk of a future fire in the area.
This is one of the several prescribed burns that will happen throughout March.
