Los Osos Rexall Drug and Gift Store gives back as they celebrate 40 years

The Los Osos Rexall Drug and Gift store is celebrating 40 years of business by giving back to the community.

The store’s Managing Pharmacist Jason Twell says the business has seen increased competition over the years, especially with incentives from insurance companies. Luckily, Twell says a lot of people in Los Osos don’t mind paying an extra dollar to get great service from someone who really cares about their health, like the people who work at Los Osos Rexall.

He says that is why the store is giving back and donating 15 percent of all gift or card purchases made on March 29 and March 30 to a Los Osos School of their choice.

“We want to remind people that by supporting a local business, the local businesses give back to the communities,” Twell said. “You know people can find cheaper prices online, people can find cheaper prescription prices through their mail order place, but when they come here, we try to give back to the community and this is one way, we’re trying to donate money to the teachers and the schools that need it.”

He says through this deal he hopes people can see the value local businesses have to the community and local economy.

The deal is for purchases made on March 29 and March 30.
