The north section of Thornburg St. at Betteravia Rd. is expected to be closed until Friday, March 15.
The city says the closure is necessary to replace concrete that was damaged during recent emergency underground utility work.
City officials say the work itself is only expected to take a couple of days but the roadway will remain closed to allow the concrete to develop proper strength.
Drivers are encouraged to obey all temporary construction signs and use alternate routes.
