The Paso Robles Children’s Museum has 44 new solar panels thanks to their partners at A.M. Sun Solar.

On a sunny day, the new panels will completely offset the museum’s electricity needs, saving the non-profit anywhere from $500 to $1,000 per month, according to Executive Director Jennifer Smith.

“We’re going to save quite a bit of money, and we’re going to be able to use that money to put back into the museum to provide new educational exhibits and continue to improve our exhibits yearly,” she said.

To celebrate the completion of construction, there will be a free day at the museum on March 30 with solar-energy themed activities, ice cream and other prizes.
