A man is now home safe in San Luis Obispo County after getting a little help from sheriff’s deputies Thursday night.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says the man, identified as Mr. Badilla, accidentally got off at the wrong train stop in Goleta and missed his bus home.
Two deputies responded after receiving a report that a man at the bus station needed help.
Badilla was reportedly unfamiliar with the area and had no other way home and no place to stay for the night.
Officials say deputies gathered enough money from those on the squad to help Badilla get a safe ride home.
