A Santa Maria business destroyed by fire at the beginning of the year is set to reopen in a new location next month.
The owner of Sergio’s Furniture says he is not going to let the fire push them out of business.
The business has rented a spot on the second floor of the Santa Maria Town Center Mall and is set to open March 1.
The blaze broke out in the 15,000+ square-foot building on the 700 block of South Broadway on Jan. 3, destroying Sergio’s and badly damaging Shaw’s Famous Steakhouse & Tavern.
Fire investigators have not said what may have sparked the blaze.
