Framing on the new Paso Market Walk in Paso Robles is underway.
Workers were out Friday working on the more than 16,000 square-foot plot of land.
Several locally-owned businesses will occupy the space, including Montello Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar Tasting Room, Just Baked SLO, Stafford’s Chocolates, The Vreamery and VRBO vacation rentals.
An historic Victorian home built at the site in 1890 will remain there, though it will be preserved as a restaurant.
The site has been vacant since 2008, but is expected to be filled with locals and tourists alike once the project is complete.
The expected completion date is summer 2019, with a groundbreaking date set for Sept. 4.
