The City of Arroyo Grande changed its rules regarding safe and sane fireworks usage Tuesday night.
At the City Council meeting they decided that from now on, people can only light safe and sane fireworks on Fourth of July, eliminating a previous 72 hours window to use them.
Approximately 10 people talked during public comment, six in favor of safe and sane fireworks.
City of Arroyo Grande officials said they are also considering changing the duration and time that safe and sane fireworks can be sold.
Currently people can sell safe and sane fireworks from June 28 to July 5.
