UPDATE (6 p.m.) – Morro Bay police reported that the lanes were opening back up but traffic was moving slowly.
UPDATE (5:38 p.m.) – As of 5:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported that one lane of traffic was open and officers were conducting one-way traffic control.
(4:44 p.m.) – Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area of South Bay Blvd. and State Park Rd. in Morro Bay due to a rollover crash.
It happened shortly before 4:30 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles were involved, including a tree-trimming truck that was hauling a trailer.
Morro Bay police say drivers should take another route to avoid the crash.
There is a multi-vehicle collision with a roll over on South Bay Blvd. Please use an alternate route until further notification.
