California Highway Patrol advises commuters to take caution when driving along the Grapevine on Interstate 5.
Caltrans closed I-5 in both directions from Southbound at Grapevine Road and Northbound near State Route 138 Sunday due to weather conditions.
Caltrans reopened the road early Monday morning, however, CHP will continue to pace traffic through the area.
For those taking an alternate route along Highway 166, CHP says Cerro Noroeste road is closed at Highway 166.
CHP says icy conditions are expected early Monday morning along Highway 166 and further closures are possible.
GRAPEVINE: I-5 is now OPEN with CHP pacing traffic. Please continue to exercise caution in adverse weather conditions and expect strong winds over the pass as well.
