A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Highway 46 East in Paso Robles Friday afternoon.
It happened shortly before 2 p.m. near Hunter Ranch Golf Course.
The Paso Robles Police Department says the motorcyclist, identified as a 68-year-old man from Atascadero, was heading eastbound on Highway 46 when he crashed into the back of a Toyota SUV that was pulling out of Hunter Ranch Golf Course.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Traffic was backed up in the area during the investigation.
Police say drugs or alcohol are not factors in the crash.
