Four displaced after structure fire in Santa Barbara

A structure fire broke out early Thursday morning in Santa Barbara leaving four people displaced.

Santa Barbara City Fire responded to reports of the fire at around 1:47 a.m. Thursday. Fire officials say smoke and flames were visible from several blocks away.

The fire broke out at a multi-family dwelling on the 900 block of Bath Street in Santa Barbara. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within 10 minutes.

Fire officials say the four people living inside were able to get out safely and were set up with accommodations for the night.

Investigators estimate the fire caused up to $10,000 worth of damage.

The cause is under investigation.
