Charges have been filed against the driver of an Amtrak bus that crashed near Los Alamos last month.
Court documents show Laura Mae Gish of Goleta faces a felony charge of driving under the influence of drugs causing injury and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance in connection with the Jan. 18 crash.
Several enhancements were also filed against the 50-year-old.
The California Highway Patrol said Gish allowed the Volvo Bus carrying 25 passengers to drift off the road where it went down a dirt culvert, hit a tree and landed on its side off Highway 101, a few miles north of the Highway 154 offramp.
The bus was on its way to Santa Barbara from Northern California.
Seven people were injured.
Gish has pleaded not guilty. She is due back in court Feb. 27.
