A gang member convicted of robbing a mobile marijuana dispensary in San Luis Obispo was sentenced Wednesday to 13 years and 8 months in state prison.

On Dec. 11, 2017, Joshua Myers, 20, robbed two employees of the delivery service in the Costco parking lot, taking approximately one pound of marijuana worth about $2,500.

Last November, a jury found him guilty of robbery, personal use of a firearm by a gang member during a robbery, and making criminal threats.

According to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, Myers also has a pending robbery case with a gang enhancement in Santa Maria.

Myers is the younger brother of Dystiny Myers, whose body was found beaten and burned in 2010 at the age of 15.
