Postal rates have gone up once again.

First Class stamps, including forever stamps, officially increased from .50 cents to .55 on Sunday. That’s the biggest increase, ever.

The price of Priority Mail is also up about 6 percent.

The small flat rate box that used to cost $7.20 to mail now costs almost $8 to send.

However, additional letter ounce costs will decrease..

For example, a 2-ounce letter, the average weight of a wedding invitation, will cost .70 to mail instead of .71.

Last year, the Postal Service reported a $4 billion loss due to higher labor and transportation costs.
