Repairs were underway at Lompoc Valley Medical Center Thursday morning after a driver suspected of being under the influence crashed into the emergency room entrance, according to hospital staff.

Lompoc police say the driver, identified as Elijio Juarez, 33, ran into the hospital after crashing into a glass window at the ER’s main entrance at about 6:13 a.m.

Police reportedly found him hiding in an office and took him into custody.
