The Salvation Army South County Service Extension in San Luis Obispo County says it will provide food to furloughed government workers during the ongoing shutdown.
Furloughed government employees needing food assistance should contact Jose at (805) 481-0278 for more information.
The Santa Barbara County Foodbank is also offering free food to federal workers in Santa Maria, Lompoc and Santa Barbara. The next food distribution will take place on Friday, Jan. 25 from 1-2:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
