After heavy rains this month, water is now flowing into Atascadero Lake.
According to Friends of Atascadero Lake, the creek began to run about 11 days ago; however, it wasn’t until recently that the city was able to safely open the pipeline valve that brings water from Atascadero Creek to the lake.
If done too soon, debris from the most recent storm could have reportedly damaged the pipeline or harmed the lake’s water quality.
