UPDATE (1/22/19) – Sheriff’s officials have identified the man they were searching for Monday as Alexander Toral, 27, of Santa Barbara.
They say he has fled from deputies twice. The first incident occurred on Sunday near Turnpike Rd.

(1/21/19) – Authorities were searching for a wanted man in the Goleta area Monday afternoon.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says the man, who is known to deputies, has an outstanding felony warrant and took off after a vehicle stop.
The initial search was focused in the area of Rhoads Avenue and Via Miguel.
The man has not been located but officials say they will continue checking the area.
A 28-year-old woman from Ventura who was driving the vehicle was reportedly arrested for a parole violation and narcotics charges.
