The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says arrests are pending after detectives discovered what they say is an illegal cannabis delivery service.

Recently, sheriff’s officials say a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in Buellton and noticed that the 18-year-old driver had an open container of marijuana in the vehicle.

They say the driver, who was too young to lawfully possess marijuana, also had a large quantity of marijuana without a valid cannabis license.

Detectives from the sheriff’s Cannabis Compliance Team responded and reportedly discovered that the driver was working for an unlicensed cannabis delivery service based in San Luis Obispo County.

Sheriff’s officials say a search warrant was executed and detectives seized more than $60,000 worth of cannabis products, $7,600 in cash, and two unlicensed firearms.
