Highway 101 at Olive Mill Rd. in Montecito will be closed overnight for a couple of days for bridge work.
Crews are working to replace the bridge rails on the highway overcrossing that were damaged during the mudslide last January. The highway closures are needed so the wooden support structure underneath the bridge can be removed.
Northbound 101 will be fully closed on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Southbound will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Drivers will be detoured onto Coast Village Rd.
Final installation of the guardrail is expected to be complete by early February.
