The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office recently donated 125 bicycles to Butte County for families that lost their homes in the Camp Fire last November.

Every year, inmates at the Sheriff’s Honor Farm refurbish used bicycles for local children in need during the holiday season. This year, the sheriff’s office says there were extra bikes and one of the correctional deputies suggested they be donated to Camp Fire victims.

The bikes were delivered to Butte County on Saturday.

The Honor Farm Bicycle Program accepts donations of bicycles and helmets throughout the year. They can be dropped off at any sheriff’s office patrol station or at the Honor Farm, located at 880 Oklahoma Ave. in San Luis Obispo.
