Evacuation orders for people living near the Thomas, Sherpa and Whittier fire burn scars have been lifted effective 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

People living in “debris flow risk areas” were told to leave their homes by 10 a.m. on Tuesday because of forecasted heavy rainfall.

No major flooding or other problems were reported as a result of Tuesday’s storm.

However, Santa Barbara County emergency officials say periods of moderate to heavy rain are still possible Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

Another storm is expected to arrive Wednesday night, but officials say it’s forecast to have rainfall rates below debris flow thresholds.

People who need help returning to their homes can call (833) 688-5551 or Easy Lift Transportation at (805) 896-3998.
