Smoke may be visible throughout Morro Bay the rest of the week as firefighters work to burn downed and diseased woody debris.
California State Parks says the pule burning is scheduled for Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. if conditions allow near the intersection of Quintana Road and La Loma Street and near Lower and Upper State Park Roads.
The burns help manage vegetation to maintain healthy forests while reducing fuel for wildfires.
