The SpaceX launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base is on track for Friday, according to base officials.
The 30th Space Wing posted on Facebook Thursday that the Iridium-8 launch, which will send a set of communication satellites into space, is set for 7:31 a.m. from SLC-4E.
A public viewing area will be open at the Hawk’s Nest off of Highway 1 starting at 6:30 a.m.
The base says there is a 60 percent chance of favorable conditions for the launch, which has been rescheduled twice.
Launch time is near, and we hope you’re as excited as we are to kick off another year of launches here at Vandenberg!…
