Montecito firefighters rescued two stranded hikers and their dogs off a mountain after a six-hour technical rescue operation Saturday night.
The fire department said one of the dogs veered off the trail and got injured before it got dark and continued to walk the trail until it got hurt again.
According to Montecito fire, the owners reached out for their dog and realized they needed help.
The fire department said eventually, the two hikers and dogs were rescued and are safe.
