San Luis Obispo police arrested a man suspected of robbing the CVS drug store on Marsh Street Friday afternoon.
It happened at about 1:30 p.m.
Police say Christian Ellman, 21, of San Luis Obispo stole alcohol from the store while threatening that he had a gun.
Police say they were able to identify Ellman as the suspect after viewing surveillance video from the store.
About an hour later, an officer reportedly spotted Ellman in the 1100 block of Broad Street and took him into custody.
He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of robbery and being a felon in possession of ammunition.
