Surgeons and staff at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center received quite a generous Christmas gift from Santa this year.
The facility was given a new DaVinci Xi surgical robot. The device assists surgeons with a number of procedures.
The new technology will be used to enhance their minimally invasive surgical offerings, specifically in the gynecology, urology and general surgery areas.
Sierra Vista was the first hospital on the Central Coast to offer robotic-assisted surgery back in 2009.
