Monday was the last day for kids to get their Christmas wish lists to Santa Claus at Santa’s House in San Luis Obispo’s Mission Plaza.

“A puppy that moves all by itself,” requested one child.

“Some good pencils for art because I want to be a good artist,” said another.

Other gift requests included Power Rangers and Legos.

“One of those requests was a baby sister,” said one mom. “That might not come this year.”

Santa told KSBY News he’s also received a few unusual gift requests this year.

“The strangest request I got was for toilet paper,” Santa said. “She was about three years old, and I asked her, ‘why do you want toilet paper for Christmas?’ And she says, ‘because my mom doesn’t let me play with her toilet paper.'”

Santa’s House closed at noon on Monday. He’ll be back again after Thanksgiving next year.

The Classic Carousel in Mission Plaza will be open through December 26.
