UPDATE: Caltrans conducts intermittent traffic control through Highway 166.

CHP says Caltrans did not close the highway completely, however they are prepared to close the highway if it becomes necessary.

Traffic control begins at Alamo Creek Road and goes through Tepusquet Road.

One lane remains open, so drivers can expect delays in their morning commute.

As of 5:00 a.m crews are still working to get the semi-truck upright.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle rollover early Tuesday morning.

At around 1:45 a.m. CHP says a semi-truck rolled over at the intersection of Highway 166 and Highway 101 in Santa Maria.

Caltrans is closing the entrance to Highway 166 at the Highway 101 intersection in Santa Maria through New Cuyama in both directions.

The closure will remain in place as crews work to get the semi-truck upright.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The estimated time of the closure is unknown.

This is a developing story and will be updated when new information becomes available.
