A Lompoc restaurant closed its doors for good this month.

The owners of 805 ChopHouse, located on the 300 block of E. Ocean Avenue, say they were not getting enough business to be able to keep the restaurant open.

“We would like to thank all the wonderful customers that have walked through our front door but we especially want to say thank you very much to the awesome regulars. We will miss seeing you sitting at the bar or at your favorite tables,” said a portion of the Dec. 9 post about the closure on 805 ChopHouse’s Facebook page.

The business opened in October 2017.

Its mission statement was “to provide a friendly and inviting atmosphere for all guests to eat, drink and enjoy the company of our neighbors. We aim to combine hospitality and culinary excellence, by featuring homemade meals, as well as local craft beer and wine.”

The last day of business was reportedly Sunday, Dec. 16.

KSBY reached out to the business for comment but has not yet heard back.
