Elfin Forest Mural sold for over $1k in auction

A painting of an Elfin Forest Mural was sold for over $1,000 in a silent auction held in Los Osos on Saturday.

The painting was Barbara Rosenthal’s guide in creating the Elfin Forest Mural on the Los Osos Rexall store. The mural was funded by a $2,500 National Wildlife Federation grant to SWAP with the purpose of honoring the community’s efforts to protect the Elfin Forest.

Funds raised in the auction will help with the cost of replacing signage that was attached to the mural.

“When you’re an artist, you gotta be prepared. Whatever you make, you have to put it out there for the world. That’s what we do,” said Barbara Rosenthal.
