A man lying in the roadway was struck and killed near Santa Margarita on Saturday morning.
According to CHP, the unidentified man was on West Pozo Road near Las Pilitas Road around 6 a.m.
He was fatally hit by a Templeton driver, and then struck again by a Santa Margarita resident driving in the opposite lane.
There was heavy fog in the area at the time, the CHP report stated.
No other information was available in the report as of Saturday night.
