40 Prado Warming Center opened on Sunday in San Luis Obispo

40 Prado Warming Center in San Luis Obispo will open Sunday because of the possible rain.

Check in for the 40 Prado Warming Center starts at 6:30 p.m. on 40 Prado Road.

Organizers said anyone who needs a safe, dry place to sleep and a hot meal can stop by, but they warn that if someone leaves the center, they cannot get back in.

The 40 Prado Warming Center closes at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Organizers said they could use several donations including sleeping bags, large trash bags, blankets, disposable plates, bowls, cups and utensils as well as some food.
