State Parks plans to burn approximately 25 brush piles in Morro Bay State Park between Wednesday, Dec. 12 and Friday, Dec. 14.
The brush piles are located at the intersections of Quintana Rd. and La Loma St. and Lower and Upper State Park Roads.
As long as weather conditions are just right, burning will take place from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parks officials say the goal of the burns is to manage vegetation and reduce the debris associated with dead and dying trees.
