The Sansum Clinic practice on North H Street in Lompoc will soon be under ownership.

The Lompoc Valley Medical Center (LVMC) Board of Directors recently approved the purchase of the clinic for $8.75 million.

The transition to LVMC ownership is expected to be finalized by Jan. 2, 2019.

LVMC officials say ten doctors have already signed agreements to practice at the facility and other medical professionals, including a family medicine nurse practitioner, a pediatric nurse practitioner, an urgent care nurse practitioner, and two physical therapists, will also see patients at the facility.

“The transition provides stability to a quality physician network and assures our community maintains access to local high-quality healthcare services,” said LVMC CEO Jim Raggio in a statement released Friday. “Additionally, it preserves more than 50 jobs in Lompoc and strengthens the referral base for LVMC. We will continue to partner with Sansum Clinic and Cottage Health, which provide specialty care not available in Lompoc. The community, Sansum Clinic and LVMC all win with this transition.”

The doctors who will practice at the facility are: Daryl Burgess, DO; Cathy Straights, MD; Rosa Ital, MD; Lawrence Li, MD; Wayne Jonas, MD; Liberty Partridge, MD; Gabriella Snow, MD; Sandra Wilson, MD; Farooq Husayn, MD and Abhiskhek Mehta, MD, MPH.

Sansum officials say they will continue all operations at their Solvang and southern Santa Barbara County locations and that all patients will be notified of the change in ownership when the transaction is complete.
