Local business leaders are brainstorming new ways to keep the economy across the Central Coast prospering.

The Central Coast Coalition of Chambers revealed The Hourglass Project on Monday in Pismo Beach.

The local Chambers of Commerce are coming together to talk about how they can leverage one another’s strengths to keep growing the thriving economy.

“We’ve got about 150 people came in and they represent everything from government to private industry to education. And it’s really that collaboration of getting all of those people in a room bringing what they can personally contribute or what their industry can contribute to the greater good,” Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Glenn Morris said.

Congressman Salud Carbajal and Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham were also in attendance at the brainstorming session.
