The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of identity theft and has surveillance photos of two female suspects.

The two women are believed to have used a stolen credit card at multiple locations throughout San Luis Obispo County on Oct. 16, 2018.

On that day, sheriff’s officials say an Arroyo Grande resident reported that a replacement credit card that was mailed to her home had been stolen out of her mailbox.

The credit card company reportedly told her the card had been activated and used at a Shell gas station in Atascadero, the Target and Apple stores in San Luis Obispo, and Pac Sun, Perfumania, Coach, Zumiez, and Vans at the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets.

Sheriff’s officials say the total loss is estimated at $5,000.

Investigators are asking the public to help them identify the two female suspects.

One suspect is described as middle-aged, approximately 5’4″ tall, with long black hair. She was wearing dark blue jeans and a long-sleeved, gray hooded sweatshirt with two black horizontal stripes on the sleeve.
