While Thanksgiving is still a few days away, some people are already preparing for Christmas.

Holloway’s Christmas Tree Farm in Nipomo opened on Saturday and is already serving customers.

“The only reason we’re open right now is cause there’s a lot of families that have to do Christmas at Thanksgiving,” explained owner Carl Holloway. “The whole family can’t get together at Christmas but they can at Thanksgiving, so they get all cousins and uncles and everything like that and they’ll buy a tree.”

Holloway says the trees are looking good this year. The farm has Monterey Pine trees ranging in height from four to eleven feet, as well as other trees from Washington state and Wisconsin.

They’ll also be selling poinsettias and mistletoe.
