City officials of the Active Transportation Committee will meet in San Luis Obispo on Thursday to brainstorm an alternative connector for pedestrian and bicycle travel to Los Osos Valley Road.
The committee intends to provide access to the County portion of the Bob Jones Trail in Avila Beach.
In the Project Study Report, there are three alternatives suggested at this time and those in attendance will move forward with the most feasible option for the project and will undergo more rigorous environmental review.
The project is centrally located to the San Luis Ranch, Froom and Avila Ranch Development areas.
Funding for project allocation has already been provided in the 2017-2019 Financial Plan.
The meeting will be held in the Council Hearing Room at City Hall in San Luis Obispo at 6 p.m.
