Tolosa Children’s Dental Center announced the start of its Healthy Smiles program, benefiting students at Shandon Elementary School.
The program will bring a registered dental hygienist in alternative practice and an assistant to the elementary school to treat students for services.
The program will be offered at the school twice a week.
The team will collect the dental records and provide preventative care on campus to eliminate children missing class time and parents having to take time off from work to drive their kids to appointments.
The dental center hopes to provide the benefits of higher-quality hygiene and better self-esteem through the school program.
