According to the California Highway Patrol, Cal Trans shut down State Route 41 at State Route 46 Wednesday morning after a vehicle went off the road.
The CHP reports that either gravel or concrete that was dumped in the roadway near the Cholame Y, east of Shandon, sometime before 7:00 a.m., may have caused the car to go over the road.
