This week, the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition is giving away free bicycle lights for its 8th annual light giveaway.
“Light up the Night” aims to ensure those who bicycle are not riding around in the dark.
Free bicycle lights will be shared to riders in need who come to designated giveaway spots.
Light giveaway donations and dates:
- Monday, Nov. 5 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. in Carpinteria at Carpinteria and Linden.
- Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. in Goleta at Goleta Valley Community Center.
- Thursday, Nov. 8 fro 5 – 6:30 p.m. in Westside on 628 W. Micheltorena.
- Friday, Nov. 9 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. in Eastside on Milpas and Cota.
Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition volunteers will be talking to bicyclists about bike safety and California laws.
All participants will receive a gift card for one free hour at Bici Centro, A DIY bike shop where customers can make repairs and tune up their bikes.
