UPDATE: Suspect in Santa Maria domestic violence incident arrested

(UPDATE – 9 a.m.) – Santa Maria police say they entered the home and arrested the suspect at around 7:45 a.m. Monday. No other information was immediately available.


 

(UPDATE: 7:30 a.m.) – Santa Maria police remain on scene with a barricade on the 700 block of East Orange Street.

Officials say a male suspect remains in the home, and will not comply with police.

Santa Maria Fire and AMR are assisting Santa Maria Police with the barricade.


(6:30 a.m.) – Santa Maria Police assemble outside a home on 700 block of East Orange Street.

Police say they responded to a domestic violence call at the same location at around 4 a.m. Monday.

According to officials, one suspect is not complying and will not leave the home.

As of 6 a.m, police are trying to coerce the suspect out of the home.

Officials say there is no direct threat to the public, however if you do live in the area, you are asked to stay inside.
