A San Luis Obispo restaurant owner is recovering after suffering significant injuries in a rollover crash on Thursday.

Josh Christensen, owner of Sidecar in downtown SLO, collided with a semi truck on Highway 101 near the Cuesta Grade on Thursday.

His Honda Pilot overturned and Christensen became trapped inside.

According to the GoFundMe page set up to help with medical expenses, Christensen suffered a number of broken bones.

He was placed on a ventilator, but that was removed on Saturday morning.

“The trauma doctor said his injuries while quite serious are manageable, and he should recover,” the page stated. “But, it will be a long and potentially challenging road from recovery through physical therapy.”

So far the page has raised over $38,000.
